Absolute Home Improvements recently completed an exterior project in South Milwaukee, WI involving the replacement of windows, some entry doors, and aluminum soffit & fascia.
The project included the installation of 14 Alside Mezzo vinyl windows that were finished with a Rich Maple interior and a Sand Dune exterior. To add some character to the home, the contour single prairie grid pattern was added to the windows. The installation of the replacement windows was done with enhanced cavity foam inserted into the frame cavities to improve energy efficiency. Additionally, the ClimaTech glass package was used, which features double pane double strength glass with a low E3 coating and filled with argon gas. To match the Sand Dune exterior finish of the windows, the exterior of the windows was wrapped with a custom bent Alside G8 trim coil.
The entry doors were replaced with Mastercraft 2-panel steel entry doors that featured a lakeside glass package and pre-finished in dark oak with nickel satin hardware. The exterior of these entry doors was also wrapped with the same Alside G8 trim coil in the Sand Dune color. Furthermore, to enhance the storm protection for the home, 2 Larson Lakeview split-view all aluminum storm doors finished in brown with an upgraded Low-e glass coating and aged bronze hardware were installed.
To complete the project, royal brown aluminum soffit panels and custom-bent aluminum fascia in Sand Dune were installed. Overall, this project was a success and the homeowners were pleased with the outcome.
