We are pleased to announce the successful completion of yet another comprehensive exterior remodeling project carried out by the pros at Absolute Home Improvements in Menomonee Falls, WI. This project involved replacing the entire roof, seamless aluminum gutters, an entry door system, and the attic insulation.
Our skilled team of experts began the roofing project by removing all the existing layers of roofing materials and conducting a thorough deck inspection to ensure that the deck was in good condition to receive the new roofing system. We then installed all the necessary underlayment’s to code, followed by the installation of Owens Corning Duration Designer Color shingles with a limited lifetime warranty in a Pacific Wave color. To ensure proper ventilation, we upgraded the roof ventilation system to the Owens Corning VentSure ridge vent system. We completed the roofing system and added all new aluminum seamless gutters to ensure proper water drainage away from the home.
In the case of the entry door system, we started by removing the false double entry door and patching in the cedar board and batten siding to make the door opening ready for a standard 36” entry door. We then installed a primed white Mastercraft steel 6-panel door with an arch patina accent glass package and satin nickel hardware with an added peephole for improved security. The door system was completed by installing custom bent aluminum trim in white and a Larsen Lakeview Splitview all-aluminum storm door in white with a satin nickel hardware set.
To complete the project, we added attic baffles to ensure proper intake vent airways and installed Owens Corning fiberglass blown-in insulation in the complete attic space to bring this home to the recommended R60 value for our Wisconsin climate.
