We’re excited to share that we recently completed another successful re-roof and chimney rebuild project in Franklin, WI! Our team of expert roofing professionals began by conducting a thorough chimney tuckpointing on the entire chimney structure. We also replaced two clay flue liners, poured a custom-reinforced concrete cap with the proper expanding flue joints, and sealed the complete chimney to extend the lifespan of the chimney. We completed the chimney rebuild by installing a custom bent aluminum chimney flashing in White.
Moving on to the roof, we first removed the existing roofing system and completed a deck inspection to ensure that the foundation was stable. We then installed a properly rated underlayment system to code to ensure maximum protection against the elements. For the roofing material, we chose a limited-lifetime Owens Corning Durations in an Energy Star Shasta White shingle color. This shingle type is known for its durability, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal.
Finally, we upgraded the roof ventilation system to the Owens Corning VentSure ridge vent system. This upgrade will improve the overall airflow in the attic space, which in turn will help regulate the temperature and moisture levels in the home.
